Job Description
- Create Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and establish tailored therapy strategies to assist them in achieving their functional objectives.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ evidence-based methodologies to enhance patients' physical abilities, cognitive function, and day-to-day activities.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide holistic, comprehensive care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their loved ones on therapy techniques that promote ongoing progress at home.
- Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring patients stay on their path to recovery.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Encouragement and support for continuous education or post-graduate certifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required
- A genuine passion for aiding others and a drive to help patients attain their fullest independence
- Strong, empathetic communication skills with both patients and colleagues
- Creativity in thinking and the ability to modify plans for diverse needs
- Confidence working autonomously as well as within a close-knit, interdisciplinary collaboration
