Connected Surgical is hiring an  Operating Room & Sterile Processing Support Specialist to support minimally invasive surgical procedures and participate in the complete sterile-processing workflow.

You do not need previous operating-room experience or a surgical technology degree. Connected Surgical provides comprehensive paid training and sponsors the education and examination needed to earn an approved sterile-processing certification.

This is a highly active, hands-on position involving frequent walking, standing, and transportation of surgical instruments and equipment throughout the workday. Team members divide their time between supporting procedures in the operating room, performing sterile-processing duties, and transporting instrumentation and equipment between designated areas.

What you will do

As an Operating Room Support Specialist, you will:

• Support minimally invasive surgical procedures in the operating room
• Prepare the operating room and gather the equipment and instrumentation needed for each procedure
• Confirm the surgeon’s equipment and procedural needs before the case begins
• Remain available during procedures to provide equipment support
• Troubleshoot surgical video systems and other supported equipment
• Communicate professionally with surgeons, nurses, surgical technologists, hospital leaders, and other clinical team members
• Respond promptly to questions, service concerns, and changing procedural needs
• Help maintain accurate inventory, equipment, and instrumentation records
• Follow hospital policies, infection-prevention practices, safety requirements, and CSi service standards
• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Participate in the team’s rotating overnight, weekend, and holiday call schedule
  
• Participate in daily decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments.

Schedule and on-call responsibilities

The regular work schedule is  Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This position also participates in a rotating call schedule shared among the CSi team. Call assignments include:

• Overnight call
• Weekend call
• Holiday call

Candidates must be able to respond reliably when scheduled for call. The specific call rotation and response expectations will be reviewed during the interview process.

No operating-room experience? We will train you.

Prior healthcare experience is welcome, but it is not required. Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as:

• Hospitality, hotel, or restaurant leadership
• Customer service or account support
• Medical assisting or patient care
• Sterile processing or endoscopy
• Emergency medical services
• Surgical services
• Technical or equipment support
• Military medical, technical, or logistics roles
• Other positions requiring precision, professionalism, and composure

Your ability to learn, communicate, anticipate needs, and remain dependable is more important than having a traditional surgical background.

Management, healthcare, hospitality, or technical experience is helpful but not required. A college degree is welcome but not required.

Certification support

CRCST or CBSPD certification is preferred but is not required at the time of hire.

Employees who are not already certified must obtain an approved sterile-processing certification within twelve months of hire. Connected Surgical provides the approved study materials and pays the examination fee.

Compensation

• $44,100 annual starting salary for candidates who are not yet certified
• $47,100 annual starting salary for candidates holding a qualifying certification
• $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires

Sign-on bonus eligibility and payment terms will be explained during the hiring process and included in the employment offer.
