Legal Assistant / Paralegal – New Jersey Criminal Law / Family Law
Location: Livingston, New Jersey
Salary: $70,000 – $107,500, commensurate with experience and ability
We are seeking a seasoned Legal Assistant/Paralegal with strong, verifiable New Jersey legal experience in Criminal Law or Family Law to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, proactive professional who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and effectively support attorneys with both administrative and billable legal tasks.
Key Requirements
Verifiable New Jersey Criminal Law or Family Law experience is required.
Candidates without relevant NJ legal experience will not be considered.
Strong preference for candidates with experience in both Criminal and Family Law .
Bilingual Spanish proficiency is required for candidates being considered for the Criminal Law side.
Experience with New York Family Law is a plus , but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and standard legal office technology.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple matters and deadlines.
Strong organizational, communication, writing, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced legal environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle billable legal tasks efficiently and accurately.
