Masters of Social Work Extended Program Practicum Liaison (Temporary)

Faculty Employment Opportunity Masters of Social Work Extended Program Practicum Liaison – full‑time, 12‑month lecturer at California State University, East Bay. Duties of the Position Coordinate and integrate practicum education for the Extended MSW program, ensuring compliance with Council on Social Work Education standards. Develop and implement a continuous, comprehensive practicum education program evaluation plan. Recruit qualified agencies for student placements and maintain agency agreement files. Participate in resolution of placement problems and update the practicum manual. Develop and update practicum seminar syllabi and plan training seminars for agency practicum instructors. Attend faculty and department meetings, and interface with the social service community and surrounding universities. Secondary responsibilities may include teaching, advising, and service at departmental, college, university, and community levels, in person, hybrid, or fully online formats. Salary Hourly rates for a 12‑month lecturer are based on the following ranges: Range 2: $6,288 – $7,658 Range 3: $7,127 – $15,211 Range 4: $7,830 – $16,697 Range 5: $9,883 – $17,490 Date of Appointment Temporary, full‑time, grant‑funded position through June 30, 2027, with potential for reappointment or extension. Qualifications Master of Social Work degree from an accredited institution. At least two years of full‑time post‑master’s social work experience. Demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring, and community service with a commitment to diversity and excellence. Ability to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment for a diverse student body. Conditions of Employment Lawful work authorization in the United States, as confirmed by appropriate documentation. Completion of required background checks, including criminal records, verification of academic credentials, licenses, and employment history. Disclosure of any final administrative or judicial determination of sexual harassment within the last seven years, after meeting minimum qualifications. Signing of a release form authorizing background information from current or former employers.
