Regional Sales Manager, Biologics Sales Specialists

Position Summary Regional Sales Manager – Biologics Sales Specialist Team (Pay Range: $121,400.00 - $199,550.00) The Regional Sales Manager leads a regional team of Biologics Sales Specialists, overseeing the team’s performance and development. The team supports Bio‑Techne’s bioprocessing instrument platforms (iCE, Maurice, MFI) and related systems and consumables. This field‑based role includes travel throughout the territory, coaching team members, joining customer meetings, providing real‑time feedback, and driving the execution of company strategic and tactical plans to deliver budgeted revenue. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of Biologics Sales Specialists to meet or exceed regional revenue goals and key performance indicators. Create and implement effective sales strategies, aligning with Sales Director leadership. Develop and reinforce core competencies and processes across the team through performance management, coaching, feedback, and corrective actions. Communicate vision and strategy, compare sales results to goals, and take corrective actions as necessary. Oversee regional operational budget and communicate incentive structure. Ensure effective hiring, onboarding, development, and retention of sales team members. Conduct field visits, observe performance, and carry out performance appraisals to foster a culture of success. Proactively identify market changes and competitive pressures, develop and adjust strategies, and provide VOC to product marketing. Prepare, own, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts. Participate in key account negotiations alongside enterprise business development teams. Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and other departments to address business issues and opportunities. Attend sales meetings, management meetings, and conferences as appropriate. Travel frequently within the region; attend national sales and management meetings. Follow company policies and guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene, and Exposure Control manuals. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree related to life sciences or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive/relevant sales experience. Progressive sales experience within the life sciences tools market, including capital equipment sales. Prior leadership experience, including direct management of field‑based sales representatives. Experience selling or supporting high‑value bioprocessing instrumentation (e.g., CE‑based systems, micro‑flow imaging, or other analytical/bioprocessing platforms). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce.com required). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven successful leadership, team management, and budget experience. Knowledge of relevant markets and customer segments (academic, pharma, biotech, government). Strong business acumen with ability to interpret market trends and adjust strategies. Strong time‑management and organization skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task with high accuracy. Independent work capability, both autonomously and within teams. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the region.
