Laboratory Technician

Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in challenging existing methods and driving improvements to achieve higher throughput, quality, and integration with production methods. This opportunity offers the chance to support engineering and science teams in researching and constructing innovative solutions, as well as developing, deploying, and testing mechanical and electrical systems for various environments. Responsibilities + Challenge existing methods and drive improvements for higher throughput and quality. + Support engineering and science teams in researching and constructing innovative solutions. + Assist in the development, construction, deployment, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems for both domestic and international settings. + Support the startup and functional testing of working prototypes to validate system performance against requirements. + Collaborate with Safety departments to ensure compliance with company and industry safety and design standards. Essential Skills + Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, laboratory, and robotics. + Basic knowledge of constructing and testing electrical and mechanical systems. + Experience in laboratory environments including sample preparation, data collection, and management. + Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate Degree or B.Sc. in Engineering or Science. + 1-3 years of relevant experience. + Experience using standard office productivity software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Ability to work effectively with multiple supervisors. Work Environment This position requires full-time on-site work and offers the chance to travel up to 15% of the time. The role involves working in laboratory and agricultural environments, utilizing both mechanical and electrical systems. The candidate should be prepared to comply with safety and design standards while working collaboratively across departments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Creve Coeur, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
