\nHOERBIGER Service Inc. is seeking a highly driven and technically competent Branch Manager to lead our Odessa, Texas service center located in the heart of the Permian Basin.\n
\n
\nThis is not a traditional office management position. The successful candidate will operate at the center of a fast-paced, customer-driven service business where the ability to balance customer expectations, workshop execution, employee development, operational excellence, safety, and financial performance is critical.\n
\n
\nThe Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the Odessa service center, including workshop operations, commercial operations supporting the workshop, customer service, inventory management, safety, quality, employee engagement, and financial results. The role requires a hands-on leader capable of making informed technical decisions while driving accountability, urgency, and execution, and aligning priorities, resources, workload, and activities across customers, Sales, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Field Service, and service center leadership.\n

\nThe ideal candidate understands the realities of the Permian Basin market: customer demands change rapidly, priorities shift daily, deadlines are aggressive, and operational excellence is the expectation, not the goal.\n

\n
• Leadership & People Development: Coach, mentor, and develop employees. Build a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, safety, and customer focus. Promote employee engagement and retention. Ensure staffing levels align with workload requirements.
\n
• Operations Management: Ensure repair work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Monitor and improve utilization, billable labor, productivity, and throughput. Lead capacity planning and resource allocation. Drive backlog reduction initiatives and workflow improvements. Ensure effective scheduling and prioritization.
\n
• Customer Service & Commercial Performance: Establish and maintain strong customer relationships. Support revenue growth through exceptional customer service and operational delivery. Partner with Sales to identify opportunities and strengthen customer partnerships. Participate in customer visits and operational discussions.
\n
• Financial Management: Manage branch profitability and operating budget. Drive revenue growth while controlling operating expenses. Monitor labor efficiency, material costs, inventory levels, and overhead spending. Support forecasting and business planning activities. Manage working capital in line with business objectives.
\n
• Inventory & Asset Management: Ensure inventory accuracy and control. Optimize inventory levels while maintaining customer responsiveness. Oversee warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and material flow. Monitor branch equipment, tooling, and facility requirements.
\n
• Safety & Quality: Champion a zero-incident safety culture. Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and customer requirements. Maintain readiness for internal and external audits. Lead incident investigations and corrective actions. Ensure ISO procedures and quality management systems are followed.

• Compliance, Reporting & Collaboration: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, company policies, operational procedures, and customer requirements. Support audits, safety reviews, and branch performance assessments. Maintain open communication with regional leadership, peer branches, and support functions, and share best practices.

What you should be good at \n
\n
\n

\n
• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in industrial service, compression, rotating equipment, oilfield service, manufacturing, or related industries.
\n
• Minimum 5 years managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
\n
• Experience leading workshop, service center, branch, field service, or repair operations.
\n
• Experience managing budgets and financial performance.
\n
• Experience working directly with customers in high-demand industrial markets.
\n
• Strong knowledge of reciprocating compressor repair operations, including inspection, troubleshooting, disassembly, component repair or replacement, reassembly, and performance testing.
\n
• Working knowledge of workshop planning and scheduling practices, including job prioritization, resource allocation, labor planning, and workflow coordination to ensure on-time project completion.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of repair shop processes, including equipment inspection, precision machining, component repair, mechanical assembly, quality control, and final testing procedures.
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.
\n
