Pantry Help – State of the art facility seeking temporary or on-call pantry help. Perfect for those interested in working on-call jobs/gigs. On-call events for now with the possibility of long term work. Summary of Position:

Accurately and efficiently prepare cold appetizers, Hors d'oeuvre, salad, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, cold sauces and condiments as well as prepare and portion food products. Also performs other duties in the area of food preparation including intricate plating and garnishing for all food items.

• Prepare a variety of cold appetizers, Hors d'oeuvre, salad, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, cold sauces and condiments.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Knows and complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Has thorough knowledge of portioning food products prior to production according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, mixers, refrigerator equipment etc....
• Able to prepare cold appetizers, Hors d'oeuvre, salad, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, cold sauces and condiments.
• Has knowledge of proper presentation and garnish set up for all food plated or buffet.
• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
• Assists in food prep assignments as assigned by the Head Garde Manager and or Chef on Duty.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Head Garde Manager and or Chef on Duty.

• Minimum of 6 months food handling experience.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with Head Garde Manger and Chef on Duty
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 lbs.
• Be able to work In a standing position for a long period of time (up to 8 hours)
• Must be able to follow printed recipes and plating specifications
• Must maintain personal Hygiene in accordance to the State of Hawaii Health Department Standards for food service employees.
