About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Customer Operations & Excellence to lead the transformation of its business-to-business customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that customers receive exceptional service, reliable execution, and proactive problem resolution. This role involves operational management of various customer relationships, including major retail, distribution, and foodservice accounts. The VP will be accountable for the entire customer journey, from onboarding to ongoing support, and must be a highly collaborative, operationally disciplined leader with a strategic, customer-focused approach. Essential responsibilities include leading the B2B customer operations function, establishing service standards, and KPIs, and serving as the senior escalation point for significant operational issues. Applicants for the Vice President of Customer Operations & Excellence position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in customer experience, supply chain, or related functions. A minimum of 5 years' in senior leadership, particularly in a B2B environment, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, CPG, or a similar complex supply-chain environment, and a proven track record of leading customer operations or service functions. Key skills include a strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment, as well as experience in implementing scalable processes and systems. The role demands excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and the ability to lead through influence and create accountability across functional teams. Experience with ERP, CRM, EDI, and customer-service technologies is preferred.
