FTE 0 Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 0 Work Shift Day: 8 hours Job Description General Summary The Clinical Registered Dietitian I is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team who provides general clinical nutrition care to all patients on units in which they are trained and competent to perform duties. Clinical RD I identifies patients with malnutrition, increased protein and/or energy needs or other medical problems affecting nutrition status. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice policies/guidelines; evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness and outcomes of the plan of care; ensuring continuity of care throughout the provision of care process; providing nutrition education to patient and family members on behaviors to accomplish patient goals; conducting educational programs for hospital staff and the community, as needed. Participate in performance improvement projects as assigned. Qualifications Complete the minimum education requirements set forth by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Entry level applied knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy for an adult population. Experience in acute healthcare facilities is preferred. General knowledge of Electronic Medical Record programs, nutrient analysis software and MS office applications or similar. License/Certification/Registration Requirements Must be a Registered Dietitian; registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as defined by the California Business and Professions Code and be current with CDR portfolio. Ages of Patients Served- This position will serve all age groups. Salary Range: $51.60 - $68.61 USD Hour The Physical Requirements and Working Conditions of this job are available.
