Registered Nurse

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The position includes working in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 1:3.5. The daily census is approximately 210. The unit has 115 beds available for patient care. The registered nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services including respiratory and pharmacy. Procedural sedation administration and monitoring are part of the responsibilities. Candidates must possess strong skills in venipuncture and management of dysrhythmias. Travelers must be prepared to comply with credentialing processes promptly. References from professional supervisors or directors are required prior to employment.

Experience: 2+ years of Emergency Room experience required. License: Valid RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI required. Must-Have: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified facility preferred. Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care is essential. Experience with EPIC documentation is required.
