Senior Paralegal – General Practice NYC

Salary Range: $115,000 – $145,000 (Total compensation package may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses, and comprehensive benefits).

Location: New York, NY

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal – General Practice for our New York office to provide high-level paralegal expertise to our legal teams and assist with administrative functions within the paralegal department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers throughout the full life cycle of corporate transactions, including capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings.
• Handle the formation, maintenance, and dissolution of corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and other business entities.
• Assist attorneys with drafting, preparing, and filing registration statements and other SEC documentation.
• Conduct EDGAR and UCC searches, order certificates of good standing, update corporate governance documents, manage stock certificates, and execute thorough due diligence reviews.
• Manage complex client matters requiring high-level support, handle routine administrative tasks, and execute special projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with, guide, and mentor junior paralegals.
• Comply strictly with firm information security policies, safeguard confidential firm and client assets, and report security risks immediately to management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of prior paralegal experience working in-house or within a law firm environment, with thorough knowledge and expertise in corporate transactions.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, Intelligize, Bloomberg Law, and Adobe.
• New York State Notary Public license is preferred; prior leadership experience is a plus.
