Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid SPED Certification for grades K-6 is required
• Experience working with elementary and intermediate-age students preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff
• Adaptability and creativity in delivering instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Skilled in maintaining detailed documentation and student progress records

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional support to a caseload of 10-12 students in a resource classroom
• Create and execute engaging lesson plans addressing individual educational goals
• Monitor and document students’ progress toward IEP objectives
• Foster an inclusive and supportive environment, promoting social and academic success
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to ensure coordinated support
• Communicate effectively with families and guardians regarding student performance and strategies for continued growth
• Manage classroom routines and maintain a safe, positive learning space
