Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for grades K-6 (SPED Cert K-6)
• Experience working with elementary or intermediate age groups, preferably in a resource or similar special education environment
• Ability to develop individualized instruction and work effectively with a caseload of 10-12 students
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with team members, parents, and support staff
• Passion for empowering diverse learners to thrive academically and socially

Role Responsibilities:

• Implement specialized resource programs tailored to 3rd–6th grade students’ needs
• Develop, adapt, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and inclusive learning strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure coordinated support
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where students develop confidence and independence
• Monitor academic and behavioral progress, keeping detailed records and regularly communicating with families
• Maintain compliance with all local and state educational requirements
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive behavior interventions throughout the school day
