Make a meaningful difference each day by supporting 3rd to 6th grade students in a dynamic resource setting. This contract role offers the chance to provide guidance, instruction, and encouragement to a caseload of 10-12 students as a Special Education Teacher. Located onsite, you’ll enjoy a collaborative school environment focused on student growth and achievement.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Certification for grades K-6
- Experience working in an elementary or intermediate resource classroom
- Strong ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs
- Effective communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, positive educational experiences
- Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, personalized instruction to students in 3rd through 6th grade within a resource setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with regular education teachers and support staff to plan and deliver instruction
- Track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize success
- Maintain an organized, supportive classroom environment
- Build respectful and constructive relationships with students and parents
