Real Estate Attorney

What You'll Do

• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, easements, and related transactional documents.
• Manage the full lifecycle of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing transactions, including closings.
• Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, environmental reports, and estoppels.
• Resolve title and survey objections, and coordinate with title companies, lenders, brokers, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare closing checklists, settlement statements, and post-closing deliverables.
• Advise clients on deal structure, risk allocation, and practical business considerations.
• Supervise and mentor paralegals and junior associates as appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver responsive, practical counsel.

What You Bring

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the [State] Bar.
• [3–7] years of commercial real estate transactional experience at a law firm or in-house.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of title insurance, surveys, and the commercial closing process.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication with clients and counterparties.

Nice to Have

• Experience with [development, 1031 exchanges, CMBS or construction lending, affordable housing, or land use and zoning].
• Existing client relationships or portable book of business.
• Familiarity with [practice management or document management software].
