Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of each patient's physical condition using a variety of diagnostic tests to determine their functional abilities and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to prevent disability, reduce pain, and enhance mobility, focusing on restoring muscle function and independence.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to the established plan of care while maintaining effective communication to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as traction and massage to promote healing and improve patients' physical capabilities.
• Assess patients' home environments for safety and make recommendations for modifications or assistive devices to facilitate independent living.
• Maintain clear and accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely documentation for compliance with regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and review patient progress, adjustments to treatment plans, and collaboration on comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on physical therapy techniques, ensuring they understand the rationale behind their treatment plans and how to continue exercises at home.
• Track and report any changes in patients' conditions to relevant healthcare providers and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our rehabilitation programs by offering insights and suggestions based on clinical experiences.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, ideally in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
• Current Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the safety of our patients.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation center with knowledge of various therapeutic techniques.
• Previous experience in home healthcare settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
