Work Environment

The position is conducted onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Fords, New Jersey. The work schedule is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with variable weekend hours as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed examinations and assessments to evaluate patients' functional limitations and disabilities.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on their specific orthopedic conditions.
• Provide ongoing evaluations of patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on effective feedback and results.
• Engage in multidisciplinary discussions with healthcare team members, ensuring a unified approach to a patient's continuum of care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of treatment procedures, patient progress, and discharge planning in compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs to enhance patient understanding and engagement.
• Supervise and provide mentorship to assigned support staff, fostering skill development and professional growth in the team.
• Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in orthopedic rehabilitation by participating in training and continuing education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients experiencing orthopedic challenges, which may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, including adults recovering from surgeries, athletes seeking performance enhancement, and elderly patients aiming to maintain their independence through improved mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
• Current New Jersey state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation protocols.
• Experience in mentorship or leadership roles within a healthcare setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
