This residential treatment facility provides structured psychiatric care for children and adolescents ages 6-21, with a clinical focus on complex behavioral health needs. The facility serves a population that includes individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and trauma-related conditions. Support staff are available to assist clinicians throughout the coverage period.

Northern Virginia offers a range of activities suited to diverse interests. The region features family-oriented attractions, including farms with pumpkin patches and apple orchards, local garden centers, and indoor entertainment venues. Live music is available at a large outdoor amphitheater located approximately 30 miles from Washington, D.C., and the area also includes historical sites, outdoor spaces, local produce markets, wineries, and agritourism destinations accessible to clinicians on assignment.

The psychiatrist will provide full-time psychiatric services for a pediatric population ages 6-21 within a residential treatment setting, working 40 hours per week during day shifts. The position involves close collaboration with the treatment team to support care delivery for patients presenting with complex clinical histories, including trauma such as prenatal drug exposure, abuse, and neglect. Approximately 75% of the patient population presents with autism or intellectual disability. A hybrid schedule combining on-site and remote coverage may be available for this assignment.
