Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a growing organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to oversee enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. This hybrid strategic role will partner closely with senior executives to evaluate business opportunities, improve financial performance, and support short- and long-term organizational objectives. • Align financial objectives with business strategies and operational priorities
• Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling
• Provide senior leadership with financial analysis and decision-support tools
• Evaluate the financial implications, risks, and potential returns associated with strategic decisions
• Analyze historical and projected business, financial, and operational performance
• Identify key trends, performance drivers, business risks, and opportunities
• Develop executive-level dashboards incorporating financial and operational metrics
• Establish processes for monitoring revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, and capital expenditures
• Analyze budget-to-actual results and investigate unexpected variances
• Support financial planning and return-on-investment analysis for company-wide marketing activities
• Incorporate relevant market and competitive data into financial planning and analysis
• Monitor strategic partners, competitors, and broader industry dynamics
• Compare internal forecasts with external expectations and identify potential discrepancies
• Prepare presentations and financial materials for executive leadership and board meetings
• Lead ongoing improvements to financial planning, reporting, and analytical processes
• Complete ad hoc financial analysis and provide additional support to executive leadership as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of working experience
• At least seven years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, consulting, strategy, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
