What you’ll do:

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring procedures are done with skill, safety, and precision.

Prepare and label laboratory specimens in strict accordance with established protocols, verifying patient identifiers and collecting signatures to ensure specimen integrity.

Maintain accurate documentation of collection processes, patient information, and specimen details to support lab testing and compliance.

Provide exceptional customer service, creating a comfortable and trusting environment for patients during blood collection procedures.

Follow all safety policies, infection control guidelines, and confidentiality protocols to protect patients and staff alike.

Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment, adhering to OSHA and company standards.

Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to support daily operational needs.

What we’re looking for:

Successful completion of high school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in certain states.

1-3 years of professional phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Exceptional venipuncture skills, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient comfort.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and foster a positive patient experience.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call hours, and travel to multiple locations as needed.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if travel between sites is required.

Proficiency with data entry and maintaining laboratory records.

Commitment to confidentiality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working in a busy patient service center environment.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Knowledge of laboratory safety and biohazard handling.

Other requirements:

Must be able to lift and position patients as needed, and handle blood collection materials safely.

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to meet clinic needs.

Additional certifications in phlebotomy or related fields are a plus.
