Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - Weekend PM

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform moderate to highly complex laboratory testing and analysis on clinical specimens. The role involves specimen processing, quality control procedures, equipment maintenance, and documentation within a diagnostic laboratory setting. Weekend PM shift (Saturday–Monday, 6 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) in Madison.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses per standard operating procedures
• Perform, review, and document quality control procedures and equipment maintenance
• Identify and resolve problems affecting test performance and laboratory operations
• Prepare reagents and manage specimen processing to meet productivity and turnaround time expectations
• Participate in equipment validation, quality assurance activities, and mentoring of new personnel

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• 60+ semester hours including 24 hours medical laboratory technology or science coursework
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work standing/seated for extended periods
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science preferred

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
