Responsible for providing all aspects of pharmaceutical care assuring a positive patient outcome. The Pharmacists must be skilled in screening for all age/dosage/disease dependent variations and be alert for improper dosages, drug interactions, and play a major role in drug monitoring. This person shall possess excellent communication skills and be an active participant with physicians and fellow health care workers. Responsibilities Performs duties to assure quality drug therapy. Performs quality assurance procedures as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals and as assigned by the pharmacy director, pharmacy manager, and/or clinical coordinator. Maintains education standards as required by state law and hospital policy and procedures. Works with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain collaborative relationship with pharmacy Qualifications EDUCATION Minimum: BS-Pharmacy Preferred: PharmD degree EXPERIENCE Minimum: Previous hospital pharmacy experience. Preferred: Three (3)years of acute care hospital pharmacy experience. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION Current Florida Pharmacist Licensure OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in hospital or related health facility Organization Description Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years.
