Job Position: Part Time Food Service Lead for Lancaster Career and Technical Center

Location: Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, Willow Street Campus.

Pay Rate: $18.00 Per Hour

Shift: Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 2:00 PM

Description: The Food Service Lead Aide plays a vital role in the daily operations of the kitchen. This individual assists with all aspects of food preparation, serving, and clean-up while ensuring food safety and personal safety standards are maintained. The Lead Aide will also take charge in the absence of the Kitchen Manager, coordinating staff, ensuring quality control, and maintaining communication with supervisors, accepting food deliveries and more. Employer paid clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate food service employees to complete daily activities.

• Communicate changes and updates to tasks and routines to food service staff.

• Oversee food preparation and ensure proper quantity and quality of meals.

• Serve meals during lunch shifts and manage cash registers when necessary.

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to kitchen standards.

• Maintain daily records on food preparation and ensure compliance with Production Records.

• Assist in the removal of trash and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

• Report any performance or safety issues to the Kitchen Manager, Food Service Manager, and Director of Food Service.

• Act as a backup to the Kitchen Manager during absences.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service or kitchen operations preferred.

• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations.

• Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations during meal service.

• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards.
