Linux Systems Administrator

Overview Oxford Global Resources is supporting a direct-hire opportunity for a Senior IT System Administrator on a long-term, mission-critical DoD program. This role supports classified systems across sustainment, development, and lab environments and requires a senior-level professional capable of operating independently in a secure, fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in classified environments Support system sustainment, product development, and lab operations Provide system administration support for Operational Flight Program (OFP) and Test Program Set (TPS) activities Evaluate current system architectures and support large-scale system planning and upgrades Install, configure, and support LAN/WAN network communications Support containerized applications and cloud-based environments Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and security Operate at a Senior/SME level with minimal oversight Required Qualifications Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (must be able to maintain) Security+ CE certification Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) 6+ years of experience administering RHEL systems Hands-on experience with Puppet Enterprise and Red Hat Satellite Experience with software containerization technologies Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications 5+ years supporting DoD programs Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies Expert knowledge of system administration principles, practices, and procedures #J-18808-Ljbffr
