Program Supervisor

Position Summary The Program Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for MHA’s SHIFT Avon transitional residential program and permanent supportive housing outreach program. This role supports individuals in recovery from substance use and mental health challenges as they work toward stable housing and independent living. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, overseeing daily operations, and guiding residents through recovery and life skills development. The Supervisor also supports treatment planning, relapse prevention, crisis intervention, and ensures program compliance with MHA and BSAS standards. Pay Range: $50,000-53,000 annually Open Shift: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm (40hrs) Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and support staff in delivering recovery-oriented services. Provide regular supervision to ensure staff development and policy compliance. Oversee scheduling, timesheets, PTO approvals, and staffing coverage. Ensure completion of required trainings, emergency drills, and procedural reviews. Monitor and maintain accurate documentation, including admissions, discharges, and service plans. Coordinate communication with internal teams and external providers to ensure quality care. Oversee participant intake, discharge, and aftercare planning, including housing and benefits support. Manage daily program operations to ensure safety, engagement, and service quality. Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and ensure timely incident reporting. Support administrative and program functions, including finances, reporting, audits, on-call rotation, and community engagement. About the Division of Recovery Services (DRS) The Division of Recovery Services (DRS) supports individuals of all ages navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Our youth residential programs provide a safe, structured environment for adolescents involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to address behavioral health needs. For adults, DRS offers residential and outreach support for those in recovery or living with addiction, including many with co-occurring mental health concerns. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, we help individuals build coping skills, restore stability, and work toward long-term recovery and wellness.
