Production Operator

The Production Operator monitors and supports automated equipment that manufactures boxes for oil and tissue paper products. This role involves ensuring machines run smoothly, clearing jams, and manually stacking finished boxes to maintain consistent production flow in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production machines that manufacture boxes for oil and tissue paper products and ensure they operate smoothly throughout the shift.
• Observe machine performance and promptly respond to any issues or irregularities in the production process.
• Safely clear paper and other materials when machines become jammed to minimize downtime.
• Hand stack finished boxes onto load formers in an organized and efficient manner.
• Follow established manufacturing procedures and production guidelines to maintain quality and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area around the production line.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any equipment or production concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all safety rules and practices while working around production machinery and in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Comfort working in warm conditions and willingness to work in the heat, with access to spot cooling areas.
• Capability to monitor machines and respond quickly to jams or disruptions.
• Physical ability to hand stack boxes and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Attention to detail to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Reliability and punctuality for assigned shifts.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; no prior production experience is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or similar environments is beneficial but not required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing setting focused on producing boxes for oil and tissue paper products. You will work around production machinery and handle paper and finished boxes throughout your shift. The environment can be warm, and you must be comfortable working in the heat; spot cooling areas are available to help manage temperatures. The facility operates three shifts: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and you will be scheduled on one of these shifts based on operational needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richland, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.27 - $18.27/hr.
