2027 Corporate Summer Internship Program- Commercial Office of Strategy & Performance

**Seeking candidates for an early start date working part-time (15/20 hours starting January). Will be embedded into the Internship Program June 7th, working full-time until August 13th)**

Overview:

Summer Interns complete a 10 week internship centered around professional development, career growth and building the necessary skills to succeed. Summer Interns participate in projects and department initiatives that accelerate career growth and play an important role in building the future of the Bank. As an Intern, you will gain exposure to other departments through guest speakers and industry leaders and a built-in network with peers as well as priority consideration for full time opportunities throughout the Bank.

The role will be embedded in the Commercial Performance Management team, which is responsible for analyzing data to assess performance trends and opportunities for the Commercial lines of business, products and support areas. This team works closely with business leadership, reporting and analytics and strategy to ensure we’re measuring progress towards business objectives and key outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete duties and responsibilities of an entry-level professional nature specific to assigned area of the Bank.
• Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and external regulations as applicable.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Work Visa Sponsorship not offered for this role

The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above encompasses all geographic locations. The pay rate specific to your location will fall within this range and is available from your recruiter.
