We are seeking an experienced and highly organized  HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This position plays an integral role in supporting our people, culture, and talent strategies across our three divisions.

The HR Generalist will lead and continuously improve critical HR processes, with a strong focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, and the day-to-day team member experience. Working closely with hiring managers and all team members, this individual will help us attract, hire, and onboard exceptional talent while providing responsive, professional HR support throughout the employee lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

Talent Acquisition

• Coordinate and facilitate full-cycle recruiting activities across the organization.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and establish hiring timelines.
• Draft and post engaging job advertisements across recruiting, professional, social media, and community platforms.
• Source candidates through job boards, professional networks, referrals, community partnerships, and direct outreach.
• Screen applications, conduct phone interviews, and provide objective candidate recommendations.
• Coordinate interviews, assessments, feedback, candidate communications, and selection activities.
• Build talent pipelines for recurring and strategically important positions.
• Develop relationships with colleges, universities, workforce development organizations, apprenticeship programs, recruiting firms, and community partners.
• Manage recruiting advertising and sourcing investments, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend adjustments.
• Develop and maintain recruiting dashboards and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team on employment branding and recruiting campaigns.
  

Onboarding and New Team Member Experience

• Lead onboarding activities for newly hired team members.
• Coordinate onboarding requirements with hiring managers and internal departments.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Serve as a primary resource for new team members as they transition into the organization.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and improve the onboarding experience.

Internship Programming

• Coordinate Montante’s summer internship program, including intern orientation, developmental programming, communications, calendars, and program logistics.
• Work with internal stakeholders to create a meaningful and engaging intern experience.
• Coordinate job site visits, company celebrations, recognition activities, community involvement opportunities, and other culture-building programs.
• Gather participant feedback, evaluate program outcomes, and recommend improvements to internship and early talent initiatives.

Team Member Support and Engagement

• Respond to routine HR questions and provide exceptional service to team members and leaders.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and help expand programming as the organization grows.
• Maintain training, certification, and participation records.
• Assist with employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting concerns, and escalating sensitive issues appropriately.
• Support the administration and communication of HR policies and procedures.
• Assist with team-building and culture-focused initiatives.

Benefits, Leave, and HR Operations

• Administer benefit enrollments for new hires and qualifying life events.
• Assist with annual open enrollment activities and respond to team member questions about benefit programs.
• Coordinate leave programs, including FMLA, PFL, DBL, Workers’ Compensation, and other leave requests.
• Maintain accurate team member information within HRIS, ATS, and benefits systems.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, compliance, and record-retention activities.
• Help ensure HR processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures remain current and effective.
• Support strategic HR initiatives and projects led by the Vice President of Human Resources. 

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related area.
• Experience coordinating multiple hiring processes simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear, professional, and efficient verbal and written communication.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HR technology, including applicant tracking systems.
• A growth mindset and a desire to learn and grow an HR Career!

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with full-cycle recruiting in commercial construction or a related industry.

Travel

Regular local travel as the role necessitates for recruiting events, career fairs, community partnerships, training programs, and company events. 

Compensation Package:

• Competitive base wages starting between $70,000 to $85,000 annual base per year with annual salary review and bonus eligibility.
• Hybrid work option (3/2) flexed as role demands.
