I&C Technician II/III - Days

AstraZeneca's Frederick Manufacturing Center seeks an Instrumentation & Control Technician III to maintain and repair instrument systems, control equipment, and building management systems supporting biologic drug manufacturing. The role requires expertise in process instrumentation, PLC/DCS platforms, calibration, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, preventative maintenance, and repairs on laboratory and production equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain process instrumentation measuring pressure, temperature, flow, and analytical parameters
- Support control valves, actuators, sensors, and associated pneumatic and electrical components
- Maintain building management systems, HVAC controls, and facility monitoring systems
- Document maintenance activities and investigations using computerized management systems
Requirements
- High school diploma with 5-10 years relevant experience, or bachelor's degree with 1-3 years experience
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley process control systems and hardware
- Knowledge of Emerson Delta-V distributed control systems and architecture
- Expertise in calibration principles, measurement standards, and traceability
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols including Fieldbus and TCP/IP
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, loop diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Understanding of cGxP compliance and computerized maintenance management systems
Compensation: $55,713-$83,750 base annually
