Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. This role involves full oversight of the pharmacy department and serving as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site.

Location: Spring Valley, CA
Type: Contract (13 weeks+) with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership of the pharmacy department
• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
• Oversee medication distribution, safety, and inventory management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Manage pharmacy staff and workflow for efficient service delivery
• Utilize RX Connect IT system for pharmacy operations and documentation

Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license required
• Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare facilities
• Strong leadership skills and knowledge of regulatory requirements for long-term care hospitals
• Ability to manage staff and pharmacy operations effectively
• Familiarity with RX Connect or similar pharmacy IT systems preferred
