Job Description:\n\nRole : QA Test Analyst (Manual & Automation) Bilingual Spanish Testing Focus\nLocation : Hartford, CT (Hybrid)Locals only\n\nHybrid: Required one day in office a week.\n\nEstimated Duration : 09/04/2026 - 03/05/2027\n \nDescription\nEmployment Eligibility: H1-B Transfer, Green Card, GC EAD, or U.S. Citizens only.\nLocal Candidates Preferred: Candidates should currently reside in Connecticut or be willing to relocate before onsite work begins.\n\nPosition Overview\n\nThe Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst with expertise in manual and automation testing to support mission-critical enterprise applications that deliver essential services to Connecticut residents.\n\nA significant need for this position is the testing and validation of Spanish-language functionality and content. Therefore, professional proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly important for this assignment.\n\nThe selected tester will be expected to perform functional QA activities involving Spanish-language screens, correspondence, notices, messages, workflows, and other resident-facing content. The tester must be capable of independently reviewing Spanish-language content for functional accuracy, consistency, completeness, and alignment with the approved English-language requirements and expected business outcomes.\n\nSpanish-language proficiency is being sought specifically because of the testing responsibilities associated with this assignment. Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to perform the required QA responsibilities and demonstrate the language proficiency necessary to validate Spanish-language application functionality and content.\n\nThis role will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, solution architects, project managers, and technical teams to ensure applications meet business requirements, technical specifications, State policies, and federal regulations.\n\nThe ideal candidate has experience testing complex enterprise systems within State government, Human Services, Healthcare, Medicaid, Medicare, or Eligibility programs. Candidates who understand policy-driven applications and business terminology used in public-sector environments will be highly successful in this role.\n\nBilingual Spanish Testing Requirement\nThis assignment has a substantial Spanish-language testing component.\n\nCandidates should demonstrate professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish, including the ability to:\n\n· Read and comprehend complex Spanish-language application content.\n\n· Validate Spanish translations against approved English-language requirements and source content.\n\n· Test Spanish-language screens, fields, labels, instructions, error messages, alerts, and other user-facing functionality.\n\n· Validate Spanish correspondence, notices, forms, and other resident communications.\n\n· Identify incorrect, incomplete, inconsistent, misleading, or contextually inappropriate Spanish-language content.\n\n· Validate that Spanish and English application experiences provide consistent business functionality and outcomes.\n\n· Develop and execute test cases specifically covering Spanish-language functionality.\n\n· Document Spanish-language defects clearly for business and technical teams.\n\n· Communicate identified discrepancies to English-speaking project stakeholders.\n\n· Perform regression testing of Spanish-language functionality following application changes.\n\nCandidates should be prepared to demonstrate the level of Spanish-language proficiency necessary to perform these job-related testing responsibilities.\n\n \nPreferred Industry
