Details Work across two Step Down units: D6/5 IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and B4/3 IMC Thoracic Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00pm-7:30am Every other weekend and some holidays required Floating required as needed Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WI RN license or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in stepdown/telemetry specialty Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital required Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required Ventilator management and post-transplant care experience required Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher overall score Prior travel nursing experience required Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Additional Information Provide nursing care to telemetry, oncology, and cardiac patients in a stepdown/IMC setting Manage ventilated and post-transplant patients Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code team coordination Care for patients requiring central line, PICC, arterial line, and peripheral IV management Provide respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, and tracheostomy management as needed Facility is a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital and Level I/II trauma center References not required for consideration Parking permit required if parking onsite; alternative transportation options available American Traveler Job ID P-749857.
