Work Environment

The rehabilitation center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a welcoming atmosphere designed to optimize patient recovery. You will be working onsite as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes physicians, occupational therapists, and assisted therapists, fostering an environment of continuous learning and mutual respect. With a schedule focused on weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, this position allows for a balanced work-life dynamic while engaging directly with patients in their recovery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess functional abilities and determine their specific rehabilitation needs, formulating individualized treatment plans that adhere to best practices in physical therapy.
• Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient’s condition, utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, neuromuscular re-education techniques, and various modalities.
• Educate patients on effective strategies for injury prevention, optimal posture, ergonomics, and self-management techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, making timely adjustments to treatment plans as necessary while maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Collaborate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and transition strategies are optimized.
• Engage in inter-professional team meetings and case discussions to contribute knowledge, insights, and improve collaborative treatment efforts.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to physical therapist assistants (PTAs) and students, promoting best practices and enhancing their clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position is primarily focused on a diverse patient population dealing with orthopedic conditions, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to sports injuries and chronic pain management. Your expertise will play a vital role in assisting patients as they navigate their recovery, instilling confidence and helping them regain physical capabilities in a supportive, empathetic environment.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting demonstrating a successful track record in patient rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and familiarity with treating sports-related injuries, postoperative cases, and chronic pain conditions is highly desirable.
• Background working directly with a multidisciplinary team in a rehabilitation center is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
