Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Telemetry Unit – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day shift: 0700-1930 / Night shift: 1900-0730), every other weekend rotation, and holidays as needed

• 28-bed acute care General Internal Medicine unit in a Magnet-designated academic medical center
• Complex patient population including general internal medicine, geriatrics, and special pathogens/infectious diseases
• Epic EMR system with 20 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Professional environment that fosters collaboration, respect, and ongoing education
• Float to like units as needed; locals (within 50 miles) not accepted

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of two years acute care experience within the last three years in relevant specialty
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start with strict criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, no errors on 3rd-degree heart blocks, and 80% or higher overall score
• Travel nursing experience required
• Core telemetry skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
