Senior Accountant

LHH is partnering with a global, publicly traded manufacturing organization in Eden Prairie seeking a Senior Accountant to support its North American and Corporate Accounting functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong accounting professional who wants to expand beyond the traditional scope of a Senior Accountant role, gain exposure across businesses and geographies, and help shape the continued evolution of a global accounting organization. Broader scope than a traditional Senior Accountant position Exposure across global businesses, operations, and geographies Opportunity to help shape the centralization and standardization of accounting processes Involvement in significant technology, systems, and process improvement initiatives Visibility within an evolving global accounting organization Development opportunity for someone interested in progressing toward future accounting leadership roles Opportunity to make an impact as the organization continues to grow and evolve Key Responsibilities Support month-end close activities for North America and designated global entities Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting workpapers Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts in accordance with US GAAP and SOX requirements Prepare and review financial and operational reports Support general ledger processes, system enhancements, testing, and implementation activities Assist with internal and external audits and SOX compliance documentation Research technical accounting matters and prepare position papers and memoranda Partner with FP&A during annual budgeting and forecasting Help centralize and standardize accounting processes as technology platforms evolve Participate in system implementations, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives Take ownership of complex projects and contribute to the continued development of the accounting organization Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience within a public company environment Strong knowledge of US GAAP Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Public accounting experience, preferably Big Four, is a plus Experience with SAP or another ERP system preferred OneStream experience preferred Public company reporting and SOX compliance experience preferred Ideal Candidate Started career within public accounting Strong accounting fundamentals with an interest in taking on broader responsibilities Ready to stretch into a more complex, visible, and evolving role Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Comfortable taking ownership and navigating change Strong systems aptitude and continuous improvement mindset Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Effective working independently and collaborating across functions Strong written and verbal communication skills Interested in growing into future leadership opportunities A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including multiple medical plan options, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) with a 100% match up to 6%, paid vacation, company and personal holidays, wellness rewards, family support programs, company-paid disability and life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program. #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
