Work Environment

You will be working in our outpatient office located in Sayreville, where we prioritize a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. The role consists of direct patient interaction, where you will have the opportunity to employ your clinical skills in a hands-on manner. The schedule operates Monday to Friday, providing a structured work environment that balances professional responsibilities with personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment to prevent disability, relieve pain, develop muscle function, and restore mobility.
• Assess clients' functional abilities utilizing diagnostic tests and functional assessments to tailor effective treatment plans.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to the care plan and safety protocols.
• Evaluate clients' home environments and recommend modifications to facilitate therapy and improve independence.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapy, traction, and the use of physical agents.
• Conduct patient education sessions for clients and their families on therapy techniques and device usage.
• Document patient progress and response to treatment in clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and adjust holistic care plans for each patient.
• Submit clinical documentation in a timely manner while adhering to branch policy.
• Participate in case conferences to evaluate and enhance the treatment and care provided to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role centers around a diverse range of patients requiring orthopedic therapies. The client population may include elderly individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain conditions, and patients adjusting post-injury. Each case is approached with empathy and an individualized plan aimed at enhancing mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current valid physical therapy license in New Jersey.
• CPR certification must be maintained.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to providing quality patient care.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• A collaborative mindset to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

While one year of experience as a physical therapist is required, candidates with backgrounds in orthopedic rehabilitation or home healthcare will excel in this role. Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
