Facility Maintenance Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facility Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at the Promenade at Tuxedo Place, a family-owned and operated independent and assisted living community in Tuxedo Park, New York. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors by maintaining the facility's physical plant, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs

• Direct housekeeping and laundry services

• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers with corporate approval

• Conduct routine inspections to identify and correct safety hazards

• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation

• Assist with emergency preparedness activities and facility drills

• Ensure building and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained

• Participate in Department of Health surveys and inspections

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience; healthcare or assisted living experience preferred

• Knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate pleasantly with seniors

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform maintenance duties throughout the facility

• Availability to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
