VMWARE Administrator
Location: Hybrid in Boston, MA Terms: Long Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments
- Support private cloud infrastructure at enterprise scale
- Handle host builds, cluster management, and resource optimization
- Perform vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, and DRS configurations
- Monitor performance, capacity, and system health
- Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, and networking layers
- Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle of VMware infrastructure
- Support disaster recovery (SRM, replication, backups)
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on VMware Admin experience (NOT VDI/Desktop)
- Expertise in vSphere, ESXi, vCenter (6.x / 7.x / 8.x)
- Solid experience in Private Cloud / Data Center environments
- Experience with cluster management, HA, DRS
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage and virtualization networking
- Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments
Nice to Have:
- Experience with VMware NSX / vRealize
- Automation using PowerCLI / scripting
- Exposure to hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure)
- VMware certifications (VCP preferred)
