As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Deterrence Patrol in Nashville, TN , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Friday, 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying the appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor management procedures in accordance with location policies. Prepare clear, timely reports on daily activities, incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
