We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a hands-on approach to routine accounting tasks, and confidence using Microsoft Excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain financial records and process routine accounting transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Reconcile accounts regularly to verify balances, identify discrepancies, and support clean month-end reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with the timely completion of closing activities.
• Organize, review, and update accounting documentation to ensure records remain complete and audit-ready.
• Use Microsoft Excel to track financial data, build supporting schedules, and analyze variances.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, resolve accounting questions, and support daily finance operations.• Experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and standard financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage work accurately and efficiently.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven setting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams.
