The 34‑bed Neuro Medicine floor and 12‑bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) provide clinical nurses with opportunities to improve critical thinking, assessment, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills while caring for a diverse population with neuro‑medical and epilepsy conditions. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care. Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment and educate patients and families on illness or injury management, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and engage in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patients or caregivers, ensuring communication across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care, and assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care. Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely as this is a safety‑sensitive position. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing. Experience: None required. Supervisor Experience: None required. Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with less than 2 years of experience.
