Job Description

A critical access hospital is seeking qualified Medical Technologists (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) for a 13-week assignment. The assignment includes a training period followed by rotating weekend shifts and potential fill-in shifts during the week.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiology tasks including gram stains and planting cultures.
• Conduct blood cultures and blood bank testing.
• Execute phlebotomy tasks proficiently.
• Adhere to Covid regulations including the use of PPE and isolation protocols.
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in holiday coverage on a rotating basis.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an approved program for MT or MLT.
• Proficiency in microbiology practices.
• Experience in phlebotomy and blood bank testing.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
