Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night or Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience must be in the specialty applying for - Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test during orientation - Must complete safeMedicate assessment during orientation Description: We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse. The nurse will provide care for patients in a fast-paced environment. Potential to float to different units to care for similar patient populations. Nurses must be able to care for patients on ventilators. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. The facility will strive to honor traveler’s preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate shifts if necessary. All travelers must work at least every other holiday. Active required certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. Nursing staff will participate in ongoing education and competency assessments. The nursing role requires compliance with facility policies, including drug screening. Any open background cases will be reviewed by the facility before acceptance. Travelers are exempt from nicotine-free requirements. However, strict adherence to other compliance measures is necessary. Nurses will be removed from the schedule if they fail to meet educational requirements.
