We are seeking a dependable, professional, and experienced Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy outpatient medical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in/check out patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
- Obtain and update patient demographic and insurance information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare offices.
- Handle front-desk administrative duties and patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
Qualifications:
- Previous medical front desk/reception experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with insurance verification and medical scheduling.
- Ability to efficiently handle a busy, high-volume phone environment.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) IS A MUST.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Professional, courteous, dependable, and organized.
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced outpatient medical office.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
