Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are recruiting experienced and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to expand our anesthesia team. 

This position involves the delivery of high-quality anesthesia care across a spectrum of surgical specialties within a collaborative, physician-led framework. CRNAs will be integral to patient management, operational excellence, and ongoing quality improvement while working closely with anesthesiologists, residents, and surgical personnel.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations, encompassing detailed medical history assessments, medication reconciliations, and obtaining informed consent.

- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to tailor and execute comprehensive anesthetic plans.

- Administer a diverse array of anesthetic modalities, including general, regional, local anesthesia, and sedation techniques.

- Execute and manage advanced regional anesthesia procedures such as epidurals, nerve blocks, and intravenous regional anesthesia.

- Monitor patient vital signs and responses throughout surgical procedures, adjusting anesthetic interventions to maintain hemodynamic stability and ensure safety; proficiently manage airway and pulmonary status utilizing evidence-based protocols.

- Provide thorough postoperative care, including effective emergence from anesthesia, pain management strategies, and smooth hand-offs to recovery teams.

- Collaborate effectively with surgical, nursing, and perioperative teams to ensure integrated patient care.

- Engage in quality assurance measures, safety initiatives, and continuous performance improvement projects.

**Qualifications:**

- Master's or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia from a nationally accredited program.

- Active certification as a CRNA from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.

- Current RN and APRN licensure in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain).

- Previous experience in anesthesia delivery and perioperative management is strongly preferred.

- Exceptional clinical acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
