Supervises and trains employees while managing the scheduling of deliveries./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3pInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned./pulliManages, coordinates and directs the transportation network within an assigned area of responsibility./liliSchedules drivers and assigns routes to maximize productivity and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company rules./liliSupervises employees who make deliveries to and from specified locations. Ensures drivers comply with their essential duties and responsibilities./liliDevelops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions./pulliMust possess a valid drivers license for use of CDL Trucks/liliMust meet SPRs Driving Standards as provided at time of interview and maintain those standards throughout employment./liliMust be able to safely drive product to customers on established routes, utilizing route numbers to identify correct customer (and able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.)/liliMust be able to meet and fulfill all regulations and requirements for truck drivers as prescribed by the DOT./liliMust be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper placement and delivery of products for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly. Includes traffic, and road signage./li/ulh3Education/Experience/h3pBachelors degree or related field or equivalent education and/or experience required in position of at least 4 years./ph3Language Ability/h3pAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write legibly./ph3Math Ability/h3pAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s./ph3Reasoning Ability/h3pAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
