Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to understand their counseling needs, aligning both clinical and personal factors.
\n
• Utilize DSM criteria to assess clients for substance use diagnoses, determining appropriate levels of care based on ASAM guidelines.
\n
• Collaborate in developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans focused on substance abuse counseling.
\n
• Create and manage discharge and continuum of care plans to ensure smooth transitions for clients into appropriate services.
\n
• Document all counseling sessions, assessments, and services provided diligently in clinical records to maintain comprehensive client histories.
\n
• Manage a caseload effectively, performing all case management tasks and conducting utilization reviews as necessary.
\n
• Coordinate support services for clients and their families, making detailed records of all interactions and services.
\n
• Establish communication networks with referral sources, such as legal entities, educational institutions, and employers to enhance client support services.
\n
• Utilize a multidisciplinary team approach to facilitate timely interventions for crisis-oriented issues affecting assigned clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults experiencing a range of substance use challenges alongside co-occurring mental health disorders. Your expertise will guide clients through their recovery journeys with a focus on building resilience and support systems, equipping them to navigate the complexities of recovery in their daily lives.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
\n
• Demonstrated professionalism, strong therapeutic boundaries, and cultural competency.
\n
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while remaining self-motivated and organized.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in substance use disorder treatment and co-occurring mental health issues.
\n
• Familiarity with the use of DSM and ASAM criteria in clinical practice.
\n
• Experience working in a detox or intensive outpatient setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our full benefits package includes:
