Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Recoverease Therapy Services, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy interventions to relieve pain, prevent disabilities, and enhance muscle function, all in accordance with an individualized care plan.
• Overseeing the performance of physical therapy assistants to ensure the proper implementation of treatment plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic testing to tailor treatment effectively.
• Assessing home environments to recommend modifications that support client independence and enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Deliberating with physicians on therapy services and executing manual therapeutic exercises while motivating clients during non-manual activities.
• Administering physical modalities such as massage and traction, as well as fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary.
• Preparing and maintaining clinical documentation, including initial evaluations and progress notes, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate total treatment plans and contribute insights on patient progress and necessary adjustments.
• Providing consultations and support to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of therapy goals and procedures.
• Leading and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current PT licensure in good standing within the state of Florida.
• CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy setting, such as acute care or home care.
• A passion for clinical excellence, with a commitment to providing quality care and a positive patient experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
