Job Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule

Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a; 11a-11p, 3p-3a. Rotating shifts with no blocked scheduling available.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 7 weeks. Guaranteed hours: variable based on unit needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Emergency Room setting.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, specifically Epic, within the past 2 years.
• Must possess active nursing license or proof of application.
• Ability to handle variable patient ratios effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy emergency room environment.
• Monitor and manage patients, including psychiatric and COVID patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform assessments and document patient information accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Compliance / Notes

Scrubs required: Navy blue and white. Closed-toe shoes mandatory. Dress code compliance is expected. No personal cell phone usage is allowed while working.
